The Town of Marlborough wanted to transform a large area of formerly industrial land along the Hudson River into a new public park and recreational destination for local residents. The challenge was developing a design which would work within the steep topography of the site and integrating an active rail line which had historically been a barrier to the water.

A master plan was created that provided a cohesive experience between the upper and lower sites and linked to a new deepwater dock and water access on the Hudson River. The design included a scenic overlook, a dog park, walking paths, hiking trails, kayak launch, community gardens, playground, vehicle parking and incorporation of the historic train station. The lower site along the Hudson provides amenities ranging from quiet/contemplative areas, a historic train station, a playground, settings for civic events, river access including fishing pier, kayak launch

The Master Plan was completed in 2017, followed by completion of construction documents in 2019. Currently, the park is under construction and is anticipated to be completed in 2023.
